30 Days to List - Day #3 Get Some Boxes and Tape

A HUGE part of listing your home or de-cluttering is reducing clutter and getting it showing ready! Pick up a copy of “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” or watch the series on Netflix for inspiration. Take a look at everything that you have in your home and remove everything you can live without or everything that doesn’t bring you joy. Every surface should have no more than 3-5 items (each shelf of a book shelf, side tables, kitchen counters etc.) This is a great time to schedule a garage sale (check with your local municipality to get a permit) or rent a pod/storage space and load it up so it is ready to move to your next home. Some of my favorite local spots to get rid of your stuff? Trends for women’s clothing, accessories and shoes, Once Upon a Child for kids stuff, The Economy Shop and The Brown Elephant!

Also remember to downsize your furniture! Rooms shouldn’t have more than 3 or 4 large pieces of furniture. Reach out to Divine Consign to consign your furniture or find some fresh new pieces. And if you are really ambitious, contact my friend at Home Ec. for some eclectic home styling or Cara Kuhl for a more traditional approach!

How do you de-clutter?!
