30 Days to List - Day #1
I have a super popular guide I give to clients called “30 Days to List” and I have decided to share it with all of you this year! You can use this when selling your home or just as a guide to help refresh and de-clutter your forever home. Tag us on social media if you are following any of our tips @nexttochicago or @jacknowrealty or #30daystolist.
If you are a client, before you start this plan, we will walk through your home with you and consult with our team of local design experts to create a custom listing program for you!
Day 1: Change light bulbs and update light fixtures. Every single bulb and fixture should be in working condition (I just started following my own guide and recently updated 2 light fixtures and replaced about 4 light bulbs in my house)! Lighting is not only essential for photographing your home for listing photos, but will also make a huge impact when potential buyers (or guests) step into your home.
If you have dated light fixtures (it’s ok, we all do), take a quick trip to my local fave Re-Use Depot to find some really cool and unique fixtures. Other favorite lighting resources include Wayfair, IKEA or Home Depot. If you need an electrician to install your new fixtures, it is always a good idea to have them check all of your outlets and other fixtures are in working order while they are there. This will help avoid any surprises during a home inspection.
Our go to electrician is Nick from Code Focus, you can reach him at 773-319-8320.
