Hunt for the Gold 2018
Here is your chance, print this out now, stop by River Forest Chocolates in River Forest and grab your chocolate coins and St. Patrick's Day goodies and place your feet up with a glass of wine on March 16th while basking in your parenting glory. Confused? It's ok, not everyone gets a visit from the leprechauns on St. Patrick's Day, but this is one tradition I took from my childhood and will never let go of! Here's how it works.
You have all met Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, St. Nick and Cupid. Let me introduce you to the mischievous Leprechauns! You can invite them into your home a few different ways; a leprechaun trap, gold coins or a rainbow, but be warned, once they find your home, they will come back every year!
Our leprechauns leave us chocolate gold coins, green candy and a whole lot of mischef! They like to turn pictures upside down, throw stuffed animals on the floor move things to funny places and more. They also leave us a scavenger hunt that leaves the kids in stitches every year. Here is your own copy to download and use, make sure you tag us on Facebook or Instagram if you use our hunt and say hello to your Leprechauns for us!
Here is the quick cheat sheet on where the leprechauns will leave your clues:
- Somewhere pretty obvious, maybe paired with a green hat from the Dollar Tree.
- This one will stay near #1, maybe on the other side of #1 or under a hat.
- Near the washing machine.
- On the front porch step or near the front door.
- In the mailbox.
- Where the kids take a bath or shower.
- In a bed or under a bed.
- Near your toothbrush.
- Near a TV with a "pot of gold".
